sometimes, when i'm feeling down i play 2:56 over and over until i feel better
that movie had some of the most sophisticated marketing of all time. The music video, for example, with all the gratuitous cameo appearances - celebrity endorsements for a freaking movie! (those people aren't even in the movie).
That movie came out at a time when my dad was taking my brother and me to the theater every Tuesday. They started advertising that Ghostbusters with a simple poster. All that was on the poster was the ghost and red circle/crossbar over it and a black ground. It didn't say anything. Just that icon. It was up for a few months before you even knew what the hell it was for, but it generated so much hype and interest that everyone was dying to know what it was and "when can i SEE it!".
