wait, so it was a no-hitter?
i thought he'd mentioned running away from the balls hit back at him, and tagging someone out at first base.
so confused.
yeah, it was a no hitter.
a hit is when you hit the ball and get on base.
one could make contact with the ball, but if the player was thrown out at first then it wasn't a "hit".
and if you walk someone to first, it's still not a hit.
you can knock the ball to the outfield wall, but if it's caught its an out, not a hit.
pitching a no hitter is very very difficult.
