Here's a selection from Lotte Reiniger
This is an excerpt from Azur and Asmar, a film by Michel Ocelot. He's a very popular French animator, and this is his first film using computers. It's interesting to see how he maintains a very 2D style, though.

Thank you Brantley! (The first movie clip really reminds me of my Little Mermaid a lot!!)
I'm very attracted to the style (and the colors) for the second clip. It's interesting to see how things can look 3D and 2D at the same time. (I thought it was a 3D animation when the lion jumped out)

(I watched it again) well, I guess it's a 3D animation that looks really 2D. Or is it a 2D that looks really 3D? I'm still confused. (....ha ha ha)
