Wow, this acclimation of the of the natural world (birds) to the industrialized one (chain saws/real estate,development) is like the same process but flipped in regards to red cups (to me a symbol of industrialization and consumerism - they are made to be disposed) adapting to the natural environment.

I see a lot of evidence of these two worlds (fabricated, natural) merging/crashing into each other in the pavement photos i.e. when the pavement is weathered. The connection being the interaction of manmade societal things (chain saws, pavement) with the natural world and things that man has not created, but still must deal with.
