i'm right there with you, but i think the step happened when google was launched. the larger plan that google set in motion in 1998 was that all your digital activity be harvested like oats and sold to corporations for big bucks. they own this blog! they own your email account. they now own some people's mobile phones and they keep track of ALL your information and activity. If they own your OS, what is left? Hmmm...
We are all aware of this, but we aren't talking about it.
I ditched my gmail a few months ago. I make sure I'm not logged into google when I use the internet, which is difficult to do.
Is it pointless to rebel against forces like google and facebook as we willingly allow them to invade our privacy?
Do we all secretly want our entire lives to be documented and stored for all to see?
It's happening... and i"m talking about it on a freaking google blog. And they are listening.
can you trust a company who's motto is "don't be evil"? Evil is clearly in the front of their minds.
